Mango Cranberry Lemony Butter Cake

Hubby has been craving for my lemony butter cake for the past few days...
As he will be leaving for Bangkok for a few days,
i decided to bake him this version...
I added Dried Cranberries and Dried Mango into the basic recipe. I hope he likes it.
As tomorrow is Valentine's day, it serves as a valentines day cake for us too!
Killing 2 birds with 1 stone, ain't that perfect!

Creamy Hazelnut Cafe Butter Cake

Tried making this cake today and hubby loves the flavour of the cake. I used a satchet of instant hazelnut cafe granules for this recipe...after tasting the cake myself...i think the flavour is not strong enough for my liking...should have added 2 satchets instead...

Neapolitan Marble Cake

Haven't been baking for ages...Needed to put the Kenwood machine to work so decided to bake a cake this morning. I use my new silicone cake mould to bake this and the verdict is: faster baking time, soft, moist and fluffy cake...i'm liking it...might try to get more silicone moulds...

This is the end result of the Kenwood Titanium Major KM020 Flexibeater's experiment. Its a Lemony Cranberry Cake. This cake taste lemony but not overpowering and the cranberry adds a little tartness to the taste. It's actually a plain butter cake recipe that i've tweaked a little. I like this combination of ingredients.

250g self raising flour
4 eggs

280g caster sugar
4 tbsp lemon juice
some grated lemon + orange rind

250g SR flour
4tbsp cream + 1 tbsp for the mocha batter
260g caster sugar
4 eggs

Strawberry Peach Creamy Custard Flan

This is the result of rushed work!
My Strawberry Peach Custard Flan collapsed....
Just like the Hotel New World....
Luckily there's no fatalities.
I guess the strawberries are just too heavy for the cake to hold in place.
so sad....

Later, I turned it into fruity trifle.
Its yummy though....

Mango Fresh Cream Cake

Baked the sponge cake yesterday and decorated the cake this morning for Haidyll's birthday. I used only mango as I couldn't get fresh strawberries yesterday. I hope he likes this cake.

I also baked a Chicken Pot Pie for lunch. This is one of his favourite food. Chilli crab was in the menu for dinner tonight, but unfortunately couldn't get fresh crabs today. So that will have to be KIV....

Anyway, hope he enjoy his birthday and good wishes to him, may he stay healthy and happy always and hope he succeeds in whatever he does....

Marbled Cheesecake

I baked this Marbled Cheesecake today. However, the marble effect was not perfect, LOL! Texture is fluffy like sponge cake for the chocolate portion and the cheesy portion is dense. I think i've had enough of cheesecake for now cos my tummy is feeling cheesy!

Choc Swirl Cheesecake

This is my very first attempt baking a cheesecake. I'm glad it was perfectly done. Yay! there isn't any cracks on the surface of the cake. Its a success!

Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake
(Before Decor)

Playing with my cake...

Verdict : This cake is very dense and rich but not very tasty. Maybe because i've used low fat sour cream and low fat cream cheese.
